A message from the Principal:

Hello Bear Nation and welcome to Chandler Intermediate School! The saying, “there is no place like home” rings true for our school. We promote a family atmosphere where students, first and foremost, feel loved and want to come to everyday. CIS sits on 40 acres and is often referred to by one of our teachers as “the best kept secret in East Texas.” I feel extremely honored to be the Principal of a school that is on the way to bigger and better things each year.  Our students are superb, our staff is dedicated and motivated, our community is supportive, and we are constantly bridging the gap between school and home. Our faculty and staff  are highly committed to providing a quality education through a variety of innovative, engaging, collaborative, and hands-on activities that are fun and meaningful. Your child’s safety and education are our top priorities! We feel strongly that the initiatives that are in place provide a strong foundation for success and growth. As we continue to move through the years, we are using research based strategies to promote high achievement.
