Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! I am SOOOO EXCITED to be teaching 6th science. Science is truly my passion and I cannot wait to share this with our 6th graders this year!
SOMETHING ABOUT MYSELF: Growing up an army brat, I’ve lived in and traveled to many exciting places. I was fortunate enough to have attended high school in Madrid, Spain. I graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. I’ve been blessed with two smart, strong, loving daughters. My oldest, Jill, graduated from The University of Arkansas and is pre-med. My youngest, Mallory, is at UT Tyler and is in nursing school. Currently, it’s just me and my wonderful husband/best friend, Kyle, living in our house with our four, spoiled, crazy dogs. I have been teaching sixth grade science for more than ten years and have taught 1 year in San Antonio, 3 years in Killeen, I year in Sherman, 5 years in Tyler and 3 years in Brownsboro at BIS. I am thrilled to be teaching here at CIS!! MY RANDOM LIST OF HOBBIES & LOVES: Camping, hiking, visiting national parks whenever possible, rock collecting, spending time with my family & friends, reading good mysteries (in the summer), playing games, going to garage sales, watching football and soccer, The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, all the Jurassic Park movies, The Walking Dead, and The Game of Thrones, and almost any TV murder mystery. I COLLECT: rocks & minerals, Native American blankets and jewelry, and (believe it or not) antique potato mashers.
